Day: June 28th

The Barbara Mitchell lily is probably not going to put out a blossom this year, but this orange snapdragon seems to like pretending to be its bloom!

The clematis is really making up for all those years we thought it was dead. Look at it go!

The mystery fern and the marigolds make for a nice colour combo.

The marigolds have been real troopers this year, not fading once. (But they did get a little crinkly in the heat for a bit)

The petunia planters have really thickened up.

A beautifully delicate yellow portulaca blossom.

The saga of the shoe viola continues. IS it coming back? Did it survive?

It's just the leaves look very similar to these weeds here...

Day: June 30th

"Look at me! I'm a Barbara Mitchell lily!" says local orange snapdragon.

The bunny planter, she is bountiful in purple pansies.

This file is called 'clematis super flourishing' and it's not wrong.

The marigolds looking like tiny fireballs is appreciated.

Little dragonfly visitor. 'Little'.

A pansy challenges the clematis for winner of the pretty purple garden flower contest.

The pansies and marigolds, living together in harmony.

What ARE these buds on the peony plant? They don't seem to be hatching.

Just did a great job with the petunias this year. Go team.

A delicate pink snapdragon appears.

Here's that predicted portulaca colour wave!

A snapdragon of many heads. Powerful.

The roses are starting to fade, but this has been their best year yet. We're very proud of them.

The shoe viola is budding! The shoe viola is budding! It is NOT a weed! It came back from the dead like plant Jean Grey!

Day: July 1st

This catmint is so loved by the cat you have no idea.

The deck lavender (backyard) is doing swimmingly. Nothing really to report. Just thriving and doing its own thing.

There is actually multiple types of mint in this pot.

The parsley (UPDATE: Cilantro) is still doing its weird pointy thing.

All of the backyard planters seem to be doing well.

The bright begonia (UPDATE: Geranium) has gained an extra shoot!

The other begonia (UPDATE: Geranium) seems to be having some sort of transition phase right now.

The maple that merged with our bleeding heart root system just keeps getting bigger and bigger. This is an issue.

These petunias seem to have gone viney.

The tomatoes are tomating.

Day: July 3rd

A feral pansy! Yes, a pansy has sprouted in the yard.

That seems to be it for the roses. Good show, guys.

The shoe viola LIVES. Oh we're so proud of the little guy!

Look at all these dragon heads. Gosh darn!
